Herbert Kilpin founded AC Milan in 1899 with Alfred Edwards. It was an Englishman and the club was the first captain and the club first car. It was with Milan for eight seasons and won three national league titles (1901,1906,1907) and ending his career in Milan when foreign players were banned from play in the Italian championship.

Nereo Rocco

Nereo Rocco was the coach of AC Milan in the 1960’s and early 1970. He was appointed coach of Milan in 1961 and quickly guided the Rossoneri to the Serie A title and the Cup of Europe in 1963.

Rocco Milan then left for Turin and returned in 1967 and guided Milan to the scudetto and the Cup Winners’ Cup conquest (1968). Rocco won the Cup in Europe and the Intercontinental Cup in 1969 with the Milan club.

He led the Rossoneri to another Cup Winners’ Cup and Italian Cup and a second place in the Serie A season 1972-1973.

Arrigo Sacchi

Arrigo Sacchi has never played professional football, but it certainly was an assistant on the touchlines. Its dynamism and innovative ideas convinced the Milan president Silvio Berlusconi to appoint Sacchi as coach of the club in 1987.

Arrigo Sacchi has been swift in its response to Berlusconi faith and won the scudetto in 1988. He then won the Super Cup of Italy in 1989 and the same year led Milan to their third European Cup success. Milan successfully defended the Cup in Europe next season.

Sacchi departure from Milan in 1991 to manage the Italian national side and returned briefly in the 1996-1997 season before being shown the door Milan.

Alberto Gilardino headed towards the exit, but after his winner in Udine Carlo Ancelotti and the club crowd around their “new” star. “It was a very exciting moment for me and it means I stayed ready,” said striker Milan after winning 1-0 at the Stadio Friuli. He had been severely criticized for his recent performances and abandoned in favour of Alexander Pato, but he came on the bench for a stop in time to strike. “It was not long to go, but I came on the game and secured three points very important to trace the table. “I have never abandoned Milan, and over the years that I am here, I have scored some crucial goals. All I can do is give 100 percent. ” Vice-president Adriano Galliani has moved swiftly to reassure the former Parma hitman on its future. “We said to his agent that we will meet again to discuss the situation at the end of March. Now, we have a fixture list, and two major players for each position. Gila is as important as Ronie, Pato and Pippo Inzaghi. ” There were reports sales from January to Fiorentina in exchange for goalkeeper Sebastien Frey, but now coach Ancelotti is held near Gilardino. “We start again with a great introduction Gilardino, as he marked a decisive goal in a crucial match.

He made the most of the time, but it had never been shelved. There is simply more competition in the team, “said the tactician. “It certainly has” suffered “the return to fitness of Ronaldo and Pato to go, but it will have its space. Coaches must make decisions and in the last few minutes Gilardino was more suited to a long ball from Ronaldo . ” Udinese are one of the main contenders to finish among the top four, so this victory could prove very important. “It was a good match, Udinese were very strong and dangerous on the break. We did some good things, but at times has been very slow. Udinese proved that they deserve their position in the table. ” Ronaldo struck wood working on the day it unveiled a new cornrow hairstyle. “It was a surprise, it has achieved like that,” smiled Ancelotti. “It’s an interesting look. Nevertheless, it was my son who had haircut, it would not be allowed to sit at the table. “
